Wilding Honey Bees in Dufur/Wasco County

We hosted an event in May of 2023 around rewilding honey bees in Wasco County – details below of what the event was.

We hosted with: Apis Aborea, Carbon Farm, Warm Spring Tribe and Local Farmers Giorgia and Quinn
What is it: Tree Nest Workshop (Build a nest for wild bees) and beelining
Where is it: Carbon Farm (81338 Rail Hollow Road, Dufur OR 97021)
Dates: May 20 and 21st – from 9 am to 3 or 4 pm each day
Beelining Dates: May 22, 23, 24, and 25 at places across Wasco County.
Who is this for: Community Members, Farmers, Beekeepers, Learners, and Folks that are concerned about dwindling bee populations and what to do about it.
Cost: Free to show up. If you want to participate fully, we ask for donations on a sliding scale to help offset the event. If you can help – we appreciate it – if you can’t/choose not to – you are still welcome.
